As we go through life, we leave both a physical and a spiritual mark, but it is our bodies that reflect the traces of time and experience. Every action leaves an imprint, shaping how we move through the world. Life is a continuous process of growth and adaptation. If we look closely, a cross-sectional cut would reveal layers of moments in time, each bearing the marks of change. These imprints show that who we are at our core—and the experiences that shape us—are reflected in how we carry ourselves and navigate life.
In much the same way, each piece serves as a testament to the various stages the material undergoes throughout the different phases of creation: the layering of paint, applying colors with pouring media, the movement that guides and distorts the colours, dissection, and ultimately, the shaping of the pieces through the gesture of the hands.
These transitions are visible on both the surface and the core of the pieces, encapsulating the memory of a fluid and intuitive transformation process. Each piece reflects the actions applied to it, from painting to moulding, creating a continuous dialogue between control and spontaneity.
In the creation of each piece, there is a deliberate intention to establish a dialogue between painting and jewelry-making—carefully constructing wearable objects while exploring the boundaries between these two practices. As the process unfolds, these boundaries blur, culminating in the final jewelry piece.
